Mimi and Hadley: Our first Day

It was our first official day---just you and me.  We made it just fine.  I think you missed your mommy in the morning but, we settled in.  

We did a little dancing....I dipped and swirled and you held on. Then I laid you down on the blanket and put on some rock and roll.  You really liked " Itzy, bitty, Teenie Wienie, Yellow Polka-dot Bikini" and we rocked around the clock with you kicking and swinging your arms. I think I wore you out because after a couple of false starts you took a two hour nap.

The rest of the days was just eating, changing diapers, rocking and sleeping. I tried to read to you but you wanted to play in your little rocker...so you did.  You we're quite interested in the spinning animals. You can see quite a long way now.

It is easy to see that you are used to being entertained....I know your mommy has been lavishing you with attention. Lucky you.

You also had a bath.  You are about to outgrow the top part of your tub...you are almost too big.  I love giving you a bath and You like tasting the water.  Aha.   After your bath I covered  you with lotion...you smelled so good and really liked the rub down...except for your feet and belly.  You are as ticklish as your daddy!.

Mommy and daddy will be home in an hour.  What a good day we had...and it is just the beginning of many more.  I love you more , Miss Hadley.  Love, Mimi
