9 Months
Wow! 3/4 of a Year! Life is great. You are really starting to take flight little one. You have learned how to pick up your own food like a champ. This month we introduced a ton of new fun table foods to you. You love hash browns, noodles, cottage cheese, yogurt and any fruit or veggie we have chopped up for you. You mix it all together on your tray and shovel it in like it is your last meal. Yumm!
You are also very active. You have learned how to crawl around, get your toys, and then SET up to play with them....all on your own! You haven't really mastered crawling on your knees yet, but you HAVE mastered your ability to climb! You love to climb over your toys, up on the kitchen chair rungs, over our legs, up our bodies...anything you can climb, you are fearlessly attempting it. You get very excited when you climb that you squeal and clap with delight while standing. You love to hold on to the couch and play. You have us on our toes trying to catch you at every fall.
You have a little more hair than last month. It is coming in blonde in the back, but you are still very bald on the top. When you are sleepy you love to put both hands on top of your head and rub your head/hair. You also love to pull and eat mommies hair.
You do not have any teeth yet, but that hasn't stopped your awesome appetite. We thought you had an incisor that was here to stay, but it went back up into your gums. As of 9 months, zero teeth!
You are sleeping fairly well, too. You go to bed around 7:30 every night. There is about a 50/50 chance that I get to snuggle with you. Sometimes you snuggle on my chest before I put you into your bed. I love the nights you fall asleep on my chest while I am kissing your little bald head and patting your back. Other nights you want to use me as a jungle gym and get in a good wallering before I put you in your crib. Those nights are a little harder on me because you cry out "mummma" and I have to walk away so you can sleep. You always crawl to the side of the bed that is closest to the door. When we come to get you in the morning you are always peering through the sides of the crib with a smile anxiously waiting for us to return and pick you up.
