Halloween
I think on Halloween you had the best night of your life. We kick started the Halloween adventure week on Monday by going to see Piper and Tinsley at their Elementary School's Trunk or Treat. You weren't for sure what was going on and since it was dark I wasn't for sure what you thought about it all. You watched princesses, superheros and all kinds of masked children zoom by your stroller. You smiled and took it all in.
On Friday, Mimi took you to my office to trick or treat. My co-workers adored you. You chatted and smiled and waved. You loved picking out the candy and then handing it back to them. You waddled around the office, assisted of course, with candy in your hands. You learned how to hold your candy bucket and you were becoming a pro at this whole trick or treating thing.
By the time Halloween night came around, you were jazzed up and ready to take your new skills to the streets. Daddy tried to help you carry your bucket, but you let out a big squeal and made an awful face. You made sure he knew that you were keeping and eye on the candy bucket. You wanted to carry it! So you did...
At each house you looked around and took in all of the decorations. Nothing really scared you, but you wanted to keep your eyes on the spooky stuff and your arms around us tightly. Once the doors opened you put on a show...shaking your bucket and waving simultaneously. Throughout the night you would pick your own candy out of the bowls and put it in your bucket. You were the cutest pumpkin I have ever seen.
Later on that night, you did what I remember doing as a kid. You stretched out on the carpet and dumped out all of your loot for examining. You took each piece and placed it back into the bucket with pride. By the end of the night, you were so exhausted! One quick bedtime story and you were sound asleep.
