You are ONE! Happy Birthday!!

Today is your FIRST BIRTHDAY! I cannot believe it. What an amazing journey this has been for the 3 of us. Your daddy and I have watched you grow, so fast, right before our eyes. You are the happiest baby with such a sweet (and ornery) disposition.

I remember the day they put you in my arms. You were so tiny and perfect! Your daddy and I looked at each other and knew immediately that the rest of our lives would be changed forever...we were right. You have stolen our hearts and we cannot even imagine life without you.

This month you grew sooooo much! You are so long and tall! I am anxious to hear what Dr. Fletcher says at your 1 year check up, next week. You also took your first "real" steps this week. You have been taking a few steps here and there unassisted, but you took 6 steps in a row! Your confidence is building little giraffe.

You are still eating everything in site. You eat completely off of our plates for dinner and drink all real milk now! You especially love fresh peaches, ham and your daddy's cheeseburgers. After every bite you lick your lips and say yum, yum, yum! You also like to make chomp chomp noises when you feed yourself off of your tray. Still no teeth, but you manage just fine! Dinner time is so fun and entertaining!

You are also talking up a storm. This last week you started saying cow and turtle. You also go "vroom, vroom" when you play with your toy cars. You also make siren-like noises when you play with the fire truck and helicopter.

 

I cannot believe how fast this year has gone and how much our little tiny Bahr baby has grown!
