3rd of July | Americas Birthday Part 1
This year we celebrated America's Birthday all weekend. On Sunday, July 3rd we went down to the Jenkins Farm to celebrate with Mimi and Papa and the Jenkins side.
Knox is much happier in the car and Hadley does great as long as there is something on the iPad to watch.
Hadley had the best time playing with her cousins Ava and Claire. They ate homemade ice cream, played with all of Mimi's toys and even had a chance to play dress-up with our old dance costumes. The big hit of the day was our old makeup caboodle. It is a little plastic vanity that has fake makeup in it and a few brushes and wands. Both strong-willed girls thought that they were the rightful owners. :)

Since it was raining all weekend we didn't get a chance to go outside and play in the pool or by the pond, but Jared W braved the storm and smoked some amazing ribs for us to eat. They were so delicious. Probably the best I have ever had.

Knox snuggled, slept and smiled the whole day. Everyone loved to play with him and give him kisses. I was a quick trip down and back, but it was still great to see everyone.
Once we were back in our neighborhood, we stopped at our neighbors house to say hi, simply to end up staying there until dark. Hadley was really excited when her best friend Caroline W from up the street showed up. They were quick to pick up where they left of at school....and get into trouble. That night the kiddos had a little harder of a time going to sleep due to all of the fireworks going off in the neighborhood.
Happy Birthday, America! :)
