Zoo Day | Momma and Hadley

Today we took a girls trip to the zoo. I wanted to go see the new baby gorilla. You picked out your outfit (and one for Callie too), I packed the snacks and off we went.

Since you have gotten so big it is hard for me to push and carry you all over the zoo by myself, so we cheated and took the tram. You loved riding the tram and waving at all of the people we passed. You also loved making Chooo Chooo noises as we traveled from one side of the zoo to the next.

We were VERY lucky. Baby girl Masika and her mommy Makari were right by the window lounging in the sun and playing when we arrived. She is about 4 months old now and is as wrinkly as can be. You were very fascinated. You were so excited you walked back to the stroller and grabbed Callie, brought her to the window and introduced her to the baby gorilla as well.

While checking out the monkeys you kept squealing and pointing at the wall. When I turned around, you had spotted a 8 inch lizard climbing the wall behind me. You watched him zig and zag around until he disappeared into the grass.

We were really tired at the end of the day and the sun was getting really hot. We decided to get some ice cream and head home! So long new baby monkey! See you soon!
