Hadley 23 Months Old!!!

It is extremely hard to believe that we are about to hit the big #2 milestone. I think back and remember how little and smiley you were and then see BIG and feisty you are now. It doesn't seem real that you are almost 2. This past month you have really started to grow taller and lose some of your baby belly chub, so that doesn't help my cause of trying to keep you little. You have also become more and more your own person and introduced to us your own decision making mind and little attitude. You still go with the flow, but also are not afraid to tell us no if you disagree.
You still love adventure and will ride down the driveway going 20 mph in your Minnie Mouse car towards the opposite curb without a care in the world. On the other hand you are still scared to climb off of the edge of the bed in the morning without help, even thought your feet are less than an inch from touching the floor.
You happy demeanor and excitement for all things continues to infect those around you. You are so happy and love playing with all of your friends and cousins. We are still learning to share, but you are doing a much better job of understanding how to take turns and be patient. Attributes that we are trying to build up before baby #2 arrives.
You have the sweetest kisses. For the longest time you hoarded them away but they are back and are very sweet and loving. You give us each a kiss in the morning, a 3 way sometimes, and a kiss before bed. When you want something, or do something good, you also want a kiss or two from me.

CAAAAKKKKEEE! If anyone ask you what you want for your birthday this is the response they get. You are CAKE obsessed. Ever since Sarah's birthday dinner, you put it all together and realized that you get cake for your birthday. We have started getting creative and putting things in cupcake papers just to trick you into thinking we are giving you cake for every meal. You eat muffins, cornbread and even sweet potatoes and call them cake. Your eyes light up when we put a muffin in front of you and say CAAAAKKKKEEE! You then proceed to sing yourself, "Happy Birthday to Hadley Bahr" over and over until it is time to blow out the fake candle. Once it is blown out, you give yourself a round of applause and devour the cornbread. I cannot get enough of it. It is the cutest thing I have ever witnessed. You are truly in love with cake. This mama is going to go all out for your cake this year...all out in the sense that I am paying our neighbor to make it for me. :) But you will get your wish....a CAKE it is little princess.
