Our First Family Gingerbread House

Mimi brought over all the fun stuff needed to make a Gingerbread House today. I have never made one before, so I was just as excited as you were. You had so much fun dipping the cereal and candies into the icing and putting them in your mouth (ha)....and on the house.

It was hard work to make sure you weren't eating every M&M and chocolate bar in sight. Once you realized how yummy the frosting tasted, you just wanted to dip your fingers into it and lick it off. We finally made the switch to cereal and pretzels while the rest of us put the candy on. I think we all had just as much fun as you did helping to put it together.

You are very proud of it. Everyone that comes over to your house, you have to take them to the kitchen to show it off. I also made a Mommy, Daddy and little Hadley out of candies to put by the front door. I think that is your favorite part.

I cannot wait to continue this tradition Mimi started with you and your little brother in the years to come.
