19 Months and Bossy
What a whirlwind Spring this has been. Unfortunately it has rained a ton this year, so we haven't been able to get outside as much as we had wished for, but that hasn't stopped you from going full speed ahead. You love the Pool. When we drive by it each night you start yelling "pool, pool, pool" and pointing. You are still a little intimidated by it, but as you see our neighbors and friends playing in it you seem to be more comfortable. Monkey see, monkey do right?
This month you have become quite the stinker. You are finding out everyday the things you like and do not and you are very vocal about them. You are just like me, bossy and want everything to be your way and perfect. You have started using more possessive words to let us know what you want. For instance everything at this point is NO, MINE and HADLEY'S...or a combination of those words. Everything is yours and you want everyone to know. This has worked toward you advantage when daddy or I try to steal some of your dinner, but not so much in terms of sharing. This will be our next biggest challenge.
You have mastered about every puzzle we own and are ready for new adventures. You do not sit still at all, not even for Mickey Mouse, and are always dragging toys out all over the house.
This month you have also started wearing big girl PANTIES. I cannot believe it. I bought you your first pair of Minnie and Daisy undies and so far so good. We are so proud of you for your potty training accomplishments.
There is no doubt that you love music. Regularly we jam out in the car, living room or kitchen and stomp our feet and shake our behinds. This week we heard you singing the cutest little song. You sing "baby, baby, baby, oohhhh" repeatedly while you play. You love Justin Biebers "Baby." I don't think you have heard the real version, but maybe just something you learned from one of the other kids at daycare. You also have learned the Happy Birthday song and the ABC song. Each day we are getting a little bit further with the ABC song. So far the most I can make out is to G and then the other letters come out ....J,K....P...T "ohh" V.....and so on. It is still adorable to watch you learn.
Kisses. Kisses at our house are in high demand. Every night you give everyone a kiss before you go to bed, but any other time when you ask for a kiss the immediate answer is No. We really have to work for them now.
You are very sweet and love it when you daddy whispers I love you in your ear or tickles you. You love to whisper sweet nothings back to him and blow his belly. He recently taught you how to wink. Now you blink both eyes real hard at everyone in attempt to wink at them. It is so adorable. You also love to squeeze me tight every night before bed as I sing you a lullaby. You are our world and we love you to the moon and back little H.
