Aquarium
This weekend Uncle Travis, Aunt Mandy, Owen and baby Truett came up to see us. We synced up with Uncle Chuck's crew and went to the Aquarium at Crown Center. It was awesome. You were able to recognize a few of the animals we have learned about while reading. You really loved the turtle and the little fish. When we took you through the mini tunnel you were blow away. You kept going in and out of it pointing at the fish and say, "whoa," with amazement.
After the Aquarium we went exploring in Crown Center. You really loved playing with Aunt Sarah and Owen in the Storyland exhibit. They had many of my childhood favorites there, especially "The Tale of Peter Rabbit" by Beatrix Potter. You played and played, ate some Topsy's popcorn and played some more.
It is always a treat when our cousins are in town. You were sad when they left and kept pointing downstairs and yelling, "O-Bo," while looking for Owen.

The life of a IT technician can get hectic, not that we’re complaining. We find great joy in providing valuable IT services to our clients. Sometimes the job can get stressful and upon hearing the therapeutic benefits of having an aquarium, we decided to put one in our Hackensack, NJ office. We thought it was so neat, we’ve decided to set up a 24 x 7 fish cam that broadcasts our aquarium onto our website.
ReplyDeleteThere are numerous benefits of having a fish tank, including reducing stress, anxiety, and even blood pressure. There are several official medical and psychological articles written on the subject. In fact, a joint study conducted by the National Marine Aquarium, Plymouth University, and the University of Exeter, that was published in Environment & Behavior, suggests that the longer someone observes the aquatic movements in an aquarium, the lower their heart rate and blood pressure becomes, while significantly improving mood.
