Memorial Day Weekend | STL Trip

This memorial day weekend we hit the road early to head to St. Louis. Even though Knox hates his car seat and have a gets messed with the four hour trek across the state went very smoothly. After we checked into our hotel, and got Hadley some popcorn from the lobby, we settled in for the night. We woke up bright and early the next morning to meet Jake and Mary Kate and their baby Henry at the St. Louis zoo.
H loved the Penguins!
First family trip to the zoo and a family of 4.
We had such a good time at the zoo with some of our favorite people.  After the zoo we grab lunch and head back to the hotel for a quick nap. After Hadley's nap we headed to the magic house in south St. Louis to meet up with Jared, Becky and their sweet little girl Peyton.
As Knox lap on daddy's chest, Hadley explored the magic house with Payton. It was so fun to watch her go from exhibit to exhibit and explore with her mind. She hardly knew that we were around because she was so into the fun.
Shopping at the market!
After we had dinner and ice cream with our friends we headed back to the hotel to get some pool time.
We had such a fun time in the swimming pool. You love blowing bubbles and getting your piggies wet.

The next morning we headed out to St. Charles, Missouri. Memaw met us at the hotel and we grab lunch and headed that direction together.
We explored all the cute shops off of Main Street before we headed back to the hotel to get ready for the wedding.
Justin and Courtney had an amazing event planned for all of us. Also all of Jared's friends from high school were there to help them celebrate. It was great to reconnect with all of them.

Early the next morning we grabbed breakfast before we had to head back to Kansas City.
Hadley was lucky enough to get to take one more dip in the pool with daddy before we left.
We made a pitstop in Columbia on the way home to see Alli, Eric and their new baby girl Jade.
Allison spoiled Hadley and knocks and gave them each a gift. Hadley got a new mini mouse dress and accessories. She still has not taken it off three days later.
Even though it is a lot of work to travel across the country with a newborn and a toddler it was completely worth it to share those memories with our children. Can't wait for next minivacation!
