The last two weeks Knox has really started to pour on the charm with his giggles. When you go to surprise him he just gives you a huge belly laugh and you can't help it melt with cuteness. He also is starting to get very mobile in his crib. When I put him down at night he will sleep from about 7 to 4 or he will wake up about 11 o'clock because his arm or leg or something is caught in the crib on the complete opposite side where I put him.
Last week we started eating bananas. He was very interested in it and did pretty well. This week we started him on rice and he wasn't as thrilled. He spit it out for about the first five or 10 minutes until he got the hang of the texture. Once I can get it to stay in his mouth he gobbled it right up. Big sister Hadley is eager to be able to help feed him with his spoon. She has also become master taste tester and wants to eat the rest of all the food that he is eating while setting in his Bumbo chair. Today she didn't want to eat the rice after she tasted it because she thought it tasted gross. But she did get to sit in his Bumbo chair and eat her Cheerios afterwards!
This week Knox also got his 4 month shots. We are a little bit behind because I have been out of town for work and our life has been pretty hectic but we finally got them yesterday. Knox did really good and just cried once they gave it to him. But I nursed him shortly after and he was such a rockstar. The last two days all he wanted to do is to eat and to be held. But I do not blame him one bit! The doctors also told us that he was in the 7th percentile for weight and 72nd percentile for height. So we are definitely long and lean it with my Letzig genes for now. I am unsure how he is only in the 7th percentile for weight considering he has the cutest little neck roll or two. The doctor wasn't concerned and neither were we but we are going to continue to feed him regular food and milk in order to chunk him up by his six-month appointment.
Knox hasn't started to roll yet but he definitely arches his back and pushes his legs in attempt to be mobile why he's on his back. I also think he is probably teething the way he chews on his right fist all the time. He chews until his whole arm is slobbery, all the way down to his sleeve. Knox is often very talkative! He loves to Jabber on and on after he's gotten up from his nap and he still full from earlier. He is such a happy baby! I am very blessed he even does good in the car seat now; which is such a relief to all of us.
