Trip to Deanna Rose
I think it has been about a year since we visited Deanna Rose, therefore we made the trip today before summer comes to a close. The weather was gorgeous and we were determined to get there in time for you to feed the baby goats.
Upon arrival you knew just where to go. You didn't want to see the chickens, or watch the cows get milked....you wanted a bottle and a goat. We tried to make a few stops en route, but you had your eyes on the prize.
Daddy got a bottle and we all made our way into the pen. You close to daddy and Knox strapped to my chest. We were lucky that it was late in the day otherwise I bet the goats would have knocked us over trying to fight for the bottle. Instead we had to search for one who would even drink it. They were all so milk drunk for the day, they were not interested. We found a few little guys who happily drank for you. You were a little nervous at first, but eventually got the hang of it.
Afterwards, you pulled out a few coins (that mommy asked you to pull out of your piggy bank) so we could feed the ducks. You put the money in the machine and got some food. You thought they were pretty funny. They followed you and your dad up and down the shore, quick to grab each prove do food you threw (at) to them. :)
Soon we found that our bellies were grumbling and started towards the exit. On the way out daddy spotted a nice treat and decided to get some strawberry and chocolate ice cream for all of us. While he went to get it, you stood at the entrance on top of the train and yelled over and over, "all aboarrrdddddd." After we enjoyed our treat, and before we could leave, we quickly hit up the playground so you could wear off your new sugar high before dinner. You kept wanting to give some to Knox since he was "good," too! You are so sweet! You are always making sure your little brother is ok.
For dinner we went to eat some chicken. It was so delicious! I could eat their chicken and cinnamon rolls for every meal. Yummmm!
